Beer Tasting Notes:

UPSTAIRS BAR

ACORN SUMMER PALE @ 4.1% abv Pale (WOMBWELL, BARNSLEY)

A clear wheat beer that is a light straw coloured refreshing ale, with slight bitterness and floral aroma.

WENSLEYDALE FORESTERS SESSION BITTER Gold @ 3.7% abv

Intensely aromatic, straw coloured ale offering a superb balance of malt and hops on the tongue.

ELLAND - BORA BORA @ 4.3% abv Ruby (HALIFAX)

Deep coloured robust full malt flavoured premium bitter, bursting with ripe fruit flavours from the finest English hops.

GREAT HECK - SBH CELEBRATION ALE @ 4.1abv

New brewery for 2008. This bitter has been brewed to celebrate the birth of the brewer's baby girl!! So please feel free to 'wet the baby's head'. The tasting notes are down to you on this one. Jason and Denzil await your feedback with interest.

GLENTWORTH - DANUM STAR @ 4.0 abv pale ale (SKELLOW)

A light ale with a hoppy aroma from one of our local Doncaster Breweries.

BROWN COW - BRAITHWELL BOMBER IPA @ 5.0% pale (BARLOW - SELBY)

A full-bodied classic IPA packed with hop and malt flavour.

BRIDESTONE - PAZAZZ @ 3.6% abv pale (HEBDEN BRIDGE)

Dan the Brewer says 'If we had had a summer, this would have been the perfect summer ale'. A light effervescent hoppy beer, which tingles your tongue.

OSSETT BREWEY - FERNANDES NARROWBOAT @ 4.3% pale

A citrus and spicy lager coloured premium ale with a crisp and dry finish. Latest offering from Ossett.

BROWN COW - AFTER DARK COFFEE PORTER @ 5.0% abv dark ale (BARLOW - SELBY)

Overall champion at Peterborough Beer Festival 2007 (next biggest to Great British Beer Festival at Earl's Court). A deep full flavoured Porter with subtle hints of coffee, long and full on the finish, smooth and far too easy to drink. A classic!!

DOWNSTAIRS BAR

BRADFIELD - FARMERS BLONDE 4.0% abv Blonde (SHEFFIELD)

Gold award winner in the speciality Beers Category at the 2007 SIBA North Regional Beer Competition. This very pale brilliant blonde beer has citrus and summer fruit aromas making it an extremely refreshing ale.

TIMOTHY TAYLOR - GOLDEN BEST 3.5% abv Amber (KEIGHLEY)

The last of the true Pennine Milds, this amber coloured beer makes a refreshing session ale. The smooth and creamy flavours makes it a popular choice.

YORK - YORKSHIRE TERRIER 4.2% abv Amber

Premium bitter with a rich creamy malt and full hop palate finish.

ANGLO-DUTCH - APISTUS 4.0% abv pale (DEWSBURY)

A heather and honey tasting ale.
