"Pub of the Season" awards are made to recognise a pub's hard work and dedication in the cause of real ale. The recipients of such awards are usually delighted with this recognition of their efforts and the resultant free publicity. In line with the procedure of some other CAMRA branches, Doncaster & District CAMRA are now to have two awards each season - one for Doncaster area (within 6 miles of Doncaster town centre) and one for Doncaster District (further afield). This will enable more pubs to receive deserved recognition more quickly.
